WILL FERRELL: A MAN OF ONLY 1 CHARACTER

John. W. Ferrell was born on July 16, 1967 in Irvine, California. Ferrell was the oldest born son of the keyboard player of the 'Righteous Brothers' Lee Ferrell and his mother was a teacher named Kay. Before becoming a very well known comedian he liked to make his mark at his high school on the football field and was setting records for the school while he was at it. Ferrell decided to stay close to home in his university years by attending University of Southern California, he then graduated with a near 3.0 GPA. Ferrell first got a taste for the television industry and NBC, while he was an intern for their sports department. He then landed a spot on Saturday Night Live in 1995 and from there I think that we all know where he went. He was a regular funny guy, a guy that everyone would come to enjoy how he made them crack a smile in each and every one if his movies. Ferrell first started in the movie industry with a small, but sparking roll in the first Austin Powers movie, and then went to star in A Night at the Roxbury. The film may have not done so well, but it definitely did enough for Ferrell. He then went to perform in other bangers of movies such as Old School (2003), Ferrell turned in a memorable, funny, and money-making performance as Buddy in the film, Elf. Other hits followed in the form of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006), Blades of Glory (2007), and Step Brothers (2008).  The three films that I find to be most enjoyable are Talladega Nights, Blades of Glory and one of his more recent movies called Get Hard with Kevin Hart.

Will Ferrell's style comes off as not original but funny, but also original is some sort of way. The style of his acting involves ignorance mixed with grotesque and vulgar language. Ferrell creates comedy by kind of not being funny at all really, but he is still funny at the same time. This comes along with the ignorance component of his keys to comedy. With the narrative form, the only stories and similarities between these 3 movies are a guy being successful and then going downhill and then getting someone to help him out again because that is literally one of the only things that will ferrell knows how to do, besides rock some crazy curly locks.
